The end of an interesting year...

Well - it's been an incredible year!  I spent the first few months living in and loving Dallas - then moved back to Calgary, moved into my dream home, got a divorce, had family to visit for the summer, got a promotion at work, travelled to Houston, Galveston, London, New York, Washington, Jasper...and probably a few other places.  Finally bought a BMW, watched the temple being finished, had Sister missionaries live with me during the Open House, helped out as much as I could to prepare for the Open House, went to the dedication and attended every week since it opened in October.  Went home to England for Christmas,  But most importantly - I'm very happy :)

BUT - with all of that - I'm disappointed that I didn't do the daily photo blog this year...but I am motivated to get back on track for 2013!

It's been an awesome year!

FINALLY!

I bought lights for the outside of the house...spent over $250 to get someone to put them up...but they didn't work :(.  I paid for an electrician to come to fix them.  He arrived TWO WEEKS later and after about 3 seconds advised me that all I needed to do was hit the reset button on the socket.  I'm so smart.

I've always wanted to go dog-sledding...so having Josh here gave me the excuse....it was actually quite fun (albeit a little chilly).  These Siberian dogs are amazing.  I told them that I would go on a diet before next time

Good morning Mr President

Went to Washington with Josh....one of our legal analysts in Houston organized an incredible schedule for us..we got VIP tours of all sorts of amazing places...including the White House on the day of the election (Romney/Obama)...unfortunately the wrong person won :(  but it was an amazing couple of days.

New York New York

Went to New York with Paul, Fo, Josh, Barbara and Brian.  Paul was supposed to run in the NY Marathon, but it was cancelled at the last minute because of "Superstorm Sandy" - but we found plenty to do :)

Just picked up my new X3 today....me and my new car will be very happy together!!

I found a bunch of photo's on my camera that the Sisters had taken before they left!  This is one of them...it was lovely having them stay for the duration of the Temple Open House....and they did a darn good job of cleaning up before they left!

Lincoln came to stay for a couple of days while he was organizing his visa for the US...I put him to work while he was here and we also looked after Cathie  Mysyks kitten for a day....apart from the fact I thought I'd lost him at one stage - he was ADORABLE...I could almost become a cat lady.
